Description:

The Honors Program is looking for two Honors Office Clerks. Each Clerk will work 10 hours per week in the Honors office, assisting the Honors Director and Honors Administrative Assistant/Advisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment messaging.
  • Interacting with honor students, potential students, and parents.
  • Answering phones and responding to and sending emails and other correspondence
  • Attend appropriate meetings.
  • Answering programmatic questions.
  • Creating and sending thank you notes.
  • Managing office files and social media.
  • Keeping the Honors Commons and Headquarters clean and stocked.
  • Special projects, representing the honors program.
  • Other office related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preference given to current Honors students who are knowledgeable about the honors program and who regularly engage in activities relating to the Honors Program.

  • Approachable, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Students in this position may have the opportunity to work on special projects relating to the honors program, having ideas and being driven are ideal qualities of the Honors Office Clerk(s).
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic, and attention to detail are a must, graphic design skills are desired but not required.
